Ministry to continue privatization, sees 1st deals in Sep–Nov

MOSCOW, Jun 23 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Finance Ministry plans to continue privatization, and first deals may take place already in September–November, Deputy Minister Alexei Moiseyev said on Tuesday.

“First, we are going to continue privatization ... Given the consequences of the coronavirus, it seems to me that we will return to the privatization paradigm and continue as soon as the stock markets open. And, it seems to me that the first deals will be made as early as this fall, at least several privatization agreements are currently being prepared,” Moiseyev said.

“Unfortunately, I can’t disclose information, otherwise the central bank will accuse me of giving insider information,” he added.
